My Parents Have A New Puppy Dog

I wanted to repost this entry permanently in this blog – it was originally posted at PetLvr.com over HERE in July 2005

Cousin Sammi - July 10, 2005 Uncle Peppy - September 2004

On March 14, 2005, my parents had to put PEPPY to sleep, one day before coming back from their winter vacation. He was 14 years old and died of liver and kidney complications. He was a good pet to my folks and was also a good traveller. Every year he would travel with my folks by car from Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada to Hemet, California, USA and be a ‘snow-bird’ dog up to4 months each year. According to Google Maps, each trip one way was 3,246 KM …

Saddened by the loss of their beloved Peppy, on April 23, 2005 my folks acquired a new puppy dog …SAMMI .. he was about 8 weeks old when they got him. I was over at my folks place today and remembered to bring my camera to introduce him to the world on my PapillonLvr.com pages. Maxxie gets along famously with Sammi .. and Sophie is a little reserved!

You can see their individual pages by clicking on their linked names above, and the pictures there are 100% size. I thought as a tribute to Peppy (dog on the right) I would list all of his latest pictures here first, then to introduce Sammi (dog on the upper left) I would list some of the pictures that I have taken today. Side by side you can see a little Peppy in Sammi.

One lonesome reply...

  1. […] My mother turned 70 years old this year, and last winter had two knee operations. We were all sad when their dog of 13 years “Peppy” passed away, but not as suprised when we found out they replaced him with a new puppy .. “Sammi“. But, mom has finally found a walking partner with another neighbor across her street. Lately, they walk for about an hour a day, or every other day up and down the streets of the trailor park that they live in, or the surrounding streets. They usually walk together shortly after the sun starts to set, because it is cooler outside – and last night, they went out for a walk around 10:15pm. […]
