Upgrade Is Complete – Hopefully
I have finished the update for this blog. There were several issues:
* I upgraded directly from wordpress version 1.5.2 to wordpress version 2.1
* A lot of the existing plugins were pre-version 2.0 and do not work anymore
* Because it was an older version, a lot of plugins that do work, or have yet to be tested – needed to be updated
* The old template was the Oxymod version 0.2 and was not compatible with 2.0+ wordpress .. and I required to upgrade to Oxymod version 1.4
As such .. although the upgrade is complete .. but there are things that may be of concern to this blog and its functionality .. such as:
* I didn’t delete any files before upgrade. I just copied the new program over the old 1.5.2 program. There may be redundant files in this blog.
* I may not have all the modifications in my sidebar and stuff that I used to have. There has been a change in links and blogroll with version 2.1 that is different.
* Like any upgrade, time will tell with the posting.
Meanwhile .. This is the first post of the first blog in the HART-Empire Network (http://HART-Empire.com) that I have converted to the new version.
